This is a comprehensive document consisting of 20 chapters, each
containing one or more specific checklists on issues related to
aspects of jail operations. Each checklist identifies issues and
tasks that must be addressed in handling of common jail incidents,
setting forth the specific suggested responsiblities both of administrators,
supervisors and line officers.
Use of the checklists enables staff members to "manage" an incident
with speed and accuracy, and the overall document is ideal for use
in staff training.
The Manual is in a standard size binder with numbered
divider tabs between each of the 20 checklist chapters.The
Manual also
comes with a computer disc for Word 6.0 / Windows 95 with
permission granted to the purchasing agency to edit and duplicate
the Manual for their supervisory or other personnel.
The contents of the Manual can easily be used as the
basis for development of new jail policies or revision of existing
policies.
