A series of information cards that condense pertinent information on the following topics:

Pursuit Decision-Making Matrix--a three color matrix comparing degree of risk and seriousness of offense in order to determine Pursue/Don't Pursue. Six Layers of Success for the Law Enforcement Leader--a two color graphic illustrating the dynamic and interactive process of the six critical elements all executives, managers and supervisors need to support in order to be successful and protected from liability. The Leadership Test--a three color graphic asking the four essential questions every leader, manager or supervisor needs to be able to answer affirmatively in order to know if he/she is making the right decision. The Policy Continuum--a graphic depicting the 10 components required to insure that official policy actually becomes operational policy. Five components are in the pre-policy phase and four components in the post-policy phase supported by the tenth and most crucial component. The Fleeing Felon Rule--a two-sided 4x5 card that lists the requirements delineated in GARNER v. TENNESSEE that must be present if an officer is to legally use deadly force against a fleeing felon. On the reverse side of the card is the REASONABLENESS TEST which cites GRAHAM v. CONNOR which lists the criteria necessary to determine if an officer has used objectively reasonable force in law enforcement encounters. Ethical Criteria to Measure Decisions--a two-sided business size card listing 3 questions concerning the act, the means used and the ultimate outcome in order to make a decision on one side. The other side lists 5 questions to be explored to understand what stops us from making good decisions.
